NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN CONSULTATION
NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING – AN UPDATE
Consultation Results: The analysis and checking of the data is now complete and the results (which were distributed to every household as part of the January 2013 Village Link entry) available. Please click on the link:- 2012 Consultation Results If you wish to have a paper copy, please contact Parish Clerk, Lynne Compton.
Sites: We have been informed by NCC that the College Farm site (which it owns) may not be suitable as there are a number of issues with safety due to inadequate visibility for safe access. NCC are awaiting further information before coming to a decision.
District Council update: DDC has informed us that:-
• The number of rural housing units needed (for the Local Plan) was under currently examination by the Planning Inspectorate.
• The Settlements and Countryside consultation results would not be known until the end of March and they would be unlikely to be able to give any guidance until summer 2013.
Parish Council has therefore decided to carry on slowly with the Neighbourhood Plan, keeping the option of doing an annex to the DDC Settlements and Countryside development planning document on the basis that this would be less costly although may not afford the same “protection” as a full Neighbourhood Plan.
