It’s a hat trick: Creaton is
Village of the Year!!!!
Creaton has won the Calor Village of the Year Competition - the first year it has entered!
Creaton has been amply rewarded for the hard work that the residents and organisations in the village put in to make the it a lively, supportive and caring place to live. The village not only won the Newcomers competition but went on to win the Small Village and then the Overall Village of the Year.
At the awards held at the Northamptonshire ACRE headquarters on Tuesday 22nd July, representatives from the village were pleased to hear that Creaton had won the Newcomers prize. Parish Council Chair Stan Perrins did not have to sit down for too long before he went to collect the award for Best Small Village. An even shorter length of time expired before he was off again to collect the Overall Winner trophy.
The village has yet to receive the report but it was noted that Creaton’s entrepreneurial school children was one of the many factors that caused the judges to vote in the the village’s favour.
